Can anyone identify the name of the tree this came from? - pictures of dry beans
I am a teacher and I took a walk in nature with my students yesterday. We went to a park in the Bronx, the children ran into a pod. Were collected, and brought him to me. It is brown rectangular shape about 2 inches long and into the interior, where to look about 4 or five grain size of nickel for the things. when she saw the students understand that there is a tree with clusters of these things. what kind of small clusters appeared to be of bananas. There was a lot of pods on the ground. We again had to go to school, to try to identify them, but if you lose a part of the beans inside were moist and had a greenish-yellow find it, while others were dried .. The beans are very difficult, dark, shiny and smooth. Can someone tell me what the tree is known that these pods are Froma ยช what the pods. I have a picture if anyone wants to see. I'm not sure what to write here.

It can be a Kentucky coffee tree (February Gymnocladius). This pod looks a little small for the species - cm, in my experience tends to 4-6 - but the things of the bean "is the right size for the seeds of February. The flesh is yellow-green, though.
Do you remember anything about the leaves? Kentucky Coffee Tree Sheets seem low, but they are actually surprisingly important are pinnate, with small leaves, branches off a central vein length. What is the tree? This information is also valuable.
